But here it is mom.
So March was a rough month for me. Some of you may know I had 4 or 5 trips to the local ER. I would wake up with sever headaches followed by vomiting, which sent me to the ER. I think my body just shut down. I wasn't getting any better so my parents finally decided I should come home and figure this all out. So I took a leave of absence for about 3 weeks, and got to be home for 3 and a half weeks, which was the best thing! I got all checked by all sorts of doctors, and had all sorts of tests done...they never really figured out what exactly was wrong with me, but I got some medicines and stuff here and there to help me with whatever was going on.
It was so great to be home and just recharge, because the winter here was really getting to me. I got to hang out with my family and friends, and got some sun. I spent a quiet Easter with my parents and grandmother and great-aunt. And finally my cousin got hitched!!! I also got to do the speech at the reception--scary. But according to everyone, it turned out great.
I got back here April 11th, and so much snow was melted. Praise God! It was a lot warmer too...but just as I got excited that I felt summer in the air...we got a huge snow storm this past weekend. Of course.
I was so happy to see all the girls. I missed them a lot!
So anyways back to work, but I am recharged and ready to go. There is so much talk about the summer--we are all way too excited! I love that my parents are going to be coming out here and finally seeing what I do at these Young Life camps. Hopefully, they will fall in love with the mission as much as I did.
Well, tomorrow is our day off after a long weekend. And May 2 my car gets here!!! And then I get to see my brother!

Hi Gabers, Yes, I am glad to see you blogging again. What a wonderful surpirse when I checked after serving myself my morning coffee. I bet Alyse's Mom is glad to see you blogging also! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to our trip in May and spending time with you, your friends, and YL.
